The PURPOSE:
It is the purpose of exodus8one to move forward the giant wheel of God’s justice for a religiously persecuted people:
Christians and all other peoples of faith.[1]
We believe that people ought to be
FREE to speak,
FREE to listen,
FREE to choose and
FREE to practice the spiritual path they want to walk. (see UN Declaration of Human Rights)
The PLACE:
Peoples Republic of China (PRC), 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
The POINT:
To call attention to the covert state sanctioned persecution of Christians specifically; and all other persecuted religious faiths inclusively.
WE SHARED THE SAME GOALS WITH ALL MAJOR HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS
1. Ratify the UN International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights
Although the PRC (Peoples Republic of China) are signatories to the ICCPR (International Covenant of Civil and Political Rights) they have delayed its ratification knowing full well the power it give to the powerless.
2. Release five prisoners of faith and conscience
 Pastor Zhang Ronglion – House church pastor of 10 million members |
 Hu Jia – Buddhist HIV/Aids activist |
 Xu Na – Falun Gong practitioner and artist |
 Shi Tao – Journalist and blogger (imprisoned by the help of Yahoo) |
 Guo Feixiong – Self taught attorney championing the cause of the poor and displaced. |
[1] By “other peoples of faith” we mean any and all religions that are persecuted by the PRC. Regardless of our confession of faith we share together the same persecution and are thus joined together by suffering. These include but are not limited to Falun Gong, Tibetan Buddhism and Uighur Muslims.
